DISCOVER THE MERLE HOUSE

Two houses joined together. The four-storey townhouse built in 1946 and the 16th century cottage knocked through together, tall ceilings and big windows. The salon is 60m2.

We have made sure  the house is modern and warm with additional insulaton that is great in winter and surprisingly summer too. Double glazing throughout which is still under guarantee

Besides the two bedrooms, there are three further rooms which could become further bedrooms. We used them as offices and a studio with computers so there are lots of electric connections.

There are porches back and front of the house for sitting in the sunshine  and having a coffee or three, and a further patio by the steps down to the garden, ideal for lunch - plus the terasse under the walnut trees for larger groups and of course at night, a table and chairs under the pink silk tree on the lawn

Brantome is 10 minutes away with Carrefor and Aldi supermarkets, as well as the street market on Fridays. Thiviers, 30 minutes away has Intermarche, Lidl, and SuperU and also a great street market on Saturdays, Perigueux, 32 kilometres, has very big malls and shopping centeres in Marsac sur Lisle and Trelissac.

Trains from Thiviers go to Bordeaux, with trams to the airport. Also trains to Limoges and Paris.
